The innovations brought by globalization and communication technologies are transforming tradesmanship itself on the one hand and the culture of tradesmen on the other. The aim of this study was to examine the transforming and changing artisanship and artisan culture in the case of Erzurum province. The sample consists of 12 tradesmen, six men and six women, who work as tradesmen in the center of Erzurum province. The study, which was designed as a qualitative study, was handled with a professional folklore approach. The data collection tool of the research is a semistructured interview form, and the data collection technique is in-depth interviews. The most important issue that emerged as a result of the research is the familiarity of the tradesmen with social media channels and e-commerce in a way that moves away from the localization claimed by past studies on Erzurum tradesmen. Although Erzurum shopkeepers continue to be family businesses, they have started to address an expanding market, at least at the national level, with e-commerce. In addition, it is also seen that the city offers growth opportunities to the tradesmen compared to the not-so-bright welfare and economic picture of the city in the literature. Of course, what is seen as a result of this growth is that there is no fixed element beyond the definition of tradesmen, which can perhaps be related to the Ahilik tradition, and that almost the entire culture has changed and is changing.
